Before you start
Why is the prepared PDF not smaller?
A PDF may already be well compressed. Structure optimisation cannot guarantee a reduction. Scanned-page mode rasterises pages and is unsuitable for digitally signed or accessible documents.
Are my files sent to a server?
No. Phase-one file and document tools process on your device. We collect only aggregate tool-event counts. Files, filenames, resume contents and dates of birth are not sent.
Does this guarantee my application will be accepted?
No. Check the original advertisement and any corrigendum. The recruiting institution decides its requirements.
Can I use this on a mobile phone?
Yes, in a modern browser. Large images and PDFs may exceed your phone's memory. Start with smaller files; limits are shown in the workspace.
